The palace is the three storied and is structured in the yellow sandstone and marble.
It was constructed in the 17th century and it was raised by the Maharana Karan Singh and it has also served as the hiding place for the Prince Khurram who is sometimes popularly known as the Shah Jahan.
Legend behind the construction of Jagmandir Palace Maharana Karan Singh has helped Prince Khurram and he has taken birth to the Rajput mother.
Khurram was accompanied by his wife and the two sons who were in the kingdom.
Maharana Karan also provides the safe place in the City Palace of Udaipur and subsequently the Maharana Karan Singh has shifted them to Jag Mandir Palace.

Construction of Jagmandir Palace The Mughal emperor Shah Jahan who has made the world famous Taj Mahal has also ended the construction of the Jagmandir Palace during the year 1623- 24.

The next attraction is the courtyard which has been built by the black and white tiles.
Other things that is worth watching in the Jag Mahal Mandir is the Bara Pathron ka Mahal, Kunwar Pada ka Mahal and Zenana Mahal.
The Bara Pathron ka Mahal is made up of the twelve solid marble slabs.
The Kunwar Pada ka Mahal has been established for the crowned prince.
The Zeenat Mahal is also offers the several chambers for the royalty of ladies.
The Jag Mahal Mandir Palace is also having the beautiful gardens where there is the garden of the roses, jasmine flowers, frangipanni trees and bougainvillea.
The Jagmandir Palace is the magnificent museum that depicts the history of the island and the palace which has been preserved in the palace.
The beauty of the palace has been mesmerized to see the sight of the huge sized elephants which has been craved in the white marble and its also gives a look of the beautiful island look.
