Eamon De Valera, known by the Irish people as 'Dev,' was the third and well-respected President of Ireland.
After serving a lengthy political career, he was elected into office in 1959 and remained there until he retired in 1973.
He died in 1974 at the age of 92.
De Valera, was an American citizen, born in New York in 1882.
Unfortunate circumstances took him to Ireland in 1885, where he was raised by his grandmother.
He was educated in Blackrock College in Dublin, he studied mathematics and languages.
In his mid twenty's, both he and a fellow patriot, Michael Collins became students of British rule in Ireland and strived toward the revival of sport, drama, literature, the Gaelic language and Irish independence.
In 1916 De Valera was arrested and escaped the firing squad because the British authorities did not want to risk the execution of an American citizen.
He was imprisoned again in 1918 and escaped.
In 1922 he found himself imprisoned one more time and released in 1926.
Eamon de Valera ignored the British influences.
His passion, commitment and optimism changed the course of Ireland's history for the better.
In a letter from his prison cell in 1922 describing his tactics, he wrote, "The best way to deal with the British is to ignore them.
" Admirable Internet Marketers do the same.
They discipline themselves to do what they do not want to do, because they have to do it.
They know their goal and stay focused on it while ignoring influences that are absolutely no benefit to them.
They act on logic, ethics, and passion, while staying committed and optimistic about their future victories and successes.
They are driven by their vivid and well-defined dreams.
Their motivation is strictly the promise of the future.
In their minds, they are already there and there is no stopping point.
They are leaders and attract followers.
They pull people in and bring them along by giving them hope.
Their passion, their commitment and their optimism shine through because they care.
That is what Ireland's third President and Admirable Internet Marketers have in common.
