How to Make Save-the-Date Magnets for Your Wedding

    • 1). Buy printable magnet sheets and invitation envelopes at an office supply store, craft store, or discount store.

    • 2). Using a word processing or publishing program, use the business card template or a larger label template such as a name badge or shipping label. You can make it as simple or as fancy as you like. Include your names, wedding date and/or wedding website. Make sure to include such references as "Invitations to follow" or "details to follow."

    • 3). Insert the magnet sheets into paper feed of printer and print. If you can cut straight lines, you can use scissors. Otherwise use a paper cutter which can be found at the same location that sell magnet sheets, usually for around $10.

    • 4). To keep the magnet from moving around in the envelope, you can cut a piece of card stock the size of the envelope and attach magnet with a dot of rubber cement.
