If you have been working online for any time, you may have already attended some of the live events that are offered on a regular basis.
I now attend about six or seven of these every year, depending on my schedule.
This was a big jump for me, because I was not used to being around so many people in one big room.
When I first started going, I was aware that most of the speakers were extroverts and had very outgoing personalities.
I am an introvert, and wondered if this would hold me back in any way with building my online business.
It seemed that the people who were more vocal and showed more excitement were the ones most likely to do business at these events.
After three years I can now say with confidence that you can be just as successful as an introvert as you can as an extrovert.
In fact, I've learned that having the confidence to speak at these events has nothing at all to do with whether you are outgoing or shy.
It has more to do with how much you believe in what you are doing and how it will help other people.
Once I understood that I began to accept speaking engagements more frequently.
Working from home on my computer is very comfortable for me, so I take every opportunity I can to attend live events and seminars to connect with other people.
This has helped me to increase my business, find new clients, and learn more that will help me as I continue to build my online empire.
